Rain Jacket Prototype Development
Comforting Warmth
Out of all explored designs, the Daphne Rain Jacket was prototyped with using a Nylon Ottoman DWR with a Nylon rispstop lining and inner polyester black mesh.

Initial prototype made with cotton to get a better grasp of fit.
NOTES-
a. Bust creating gaping at inseam on chest
b. Waist shaping cinching in too much
c. Length of sleeve needs to be increased by 1"
d. Hood needs to be increased
e. Sleeve strap will prove cumbersome. Change it for elastic?

Second prototype created in Nylon Ottoman with Nylon Ripstop lining. Polyester mesh used at for pockets.

NOTES-
a. Need to create a vent on sides- zippable
b. Need crisper finish for hood. Without having a edge stitch for the hood
c. Elastic at under sleeve must be tighter.

Bust inseam pocket can be accessed by opening the chest flap opening

Pocket opening fitted to users hand width
Toggle for hood height coming through seam

Under sleeve with elastic trim at the hem

Patch pocket with magnetic flap to snap close located at the hip


Side zipper for cards. Waterproof invisible zipper is used and concealed by pocket
Inner back waist cinching with toggle at the lining. Material application to reduce weight at the hem using polyester mesh
